I was scrolling through social media when I stumbled across a post by Dr. Matthew Stevenson that was a reshare of a reel by Oprah Winfrey. Smack dead in the center of the video, the words "OPRAH ASKS: IS IT TIME FOR A NEW DREAM?
The reel caught my attention because I have had the same dream for so long: to be a successful hairstylist and salon owner. Thankfully by God's grace, I have a great history in the beauty industry of doing both. And even though last year I planned to retire from the industry, I have found myself right back there after seven short months.
Yes, I am back behind the chair doing natural hair and on Instagram as Jax Curl Specialist. I enjoy it because it allows me to express my creativity and interact with people individually. In addition to being a hairstylist, Im a mentor to emerging Christian prophets and prophetic types.
In 2020 the Lord had me focus on social media, mainly Instagram teaching on dreams and dream interpretation. I even published a book called "What God Is Saying About Your Dreams: A pocket guide to help believers understand how God speaks in dreams. I also put together an 11-series teaching on basic Christian Dream Interpretation 101 called the Dream Kit. I also offered free dream interpretation for a whole year. So when I say it was a focus, it was, along with teaching others about being awakened into the prophetic.
I love all these things I mentioned above, but I also love multiple things. I am a multi-passionate faith-based entrepreneur. Well, that's what Marie Forleo of MarieTV calls it. And Identify with that term in more ways than one.

As a faith-based entrepreneur and micro-influencer, there is always this primary emphasis on a niche. This means people regard you as an expert on a particular topic or an authority in a specific industry. Now, this is tried and true, and it works. I'm not here to reinvent the wheel or debate it. There is a tremendous success in having a niche.
However, I know that everything in life has times and seasons. So seeing that post from Oprah made me realize that in this current season, I don't get to express other facets of who I am because of the niche box. That is what made me think it was time to get a "new dream," but that is not the case. I don't need a new dream. I need to express my hidden dreams.
The hidden dreams are my PRIVATE PASSIONS that had to take a backseat because of my PUBLIC PASSIONS.
Over the past ten months, I have wrestled with some things that only God knows. I am done wrestling and ready to become a multi-passionate faith-based entrepreneur and influencer.
What this means for you, if you are connected to me here on my blog, Instagram, Facebook or my new YouTube channel, is this: In this season, I will be focusing on Prophetic Wellness & Prophetic Self-care, which is the foundation to my many passions.
I have even written my own definitions of Prophetic Wellness and Prophetic Self-care:
Prophetic Wellness is a self-care practice emphasizing daily reliance on the Holy Spirit's leading for optimal health and well-being for a prosperous spirit, soul, mind, and body.
Prophetic Self-care: Includes mind, body, soul, and spirit management through prayer, worship, scripture meditation, and fellowship with others. Prophetic self-care includes managing your temple/body with a Holy Spirit-inspired diet and exercise. As well as grooming one's hair, skin, nails, teeth, and dress to exemplify a beauty standard. Prophetic self-care encourages creative expression through arts like writing, dancing, drawing, painting, and singing.
Many things have led me to this season that I will share in the future. Does this mean I will no longer educate on dreams and being awakened in the prophetic?
ABSOLUTELY NOT!
I said I am multi-passionate, so no worries, you will still see that too, but of course, as the Lord leads.

This is great! I’m so excited to see what the hidden dreams will reveal and how they will inspire and encourage us to do the same. I can definitely relate and often feel like there are too many parts of me to be “stuck” to only living out one. Jesus had so many aspects and parts of Him. He had hidden parts that He knew about but couldn’t reveal until the timing is right. It is your time now and the timing is right 🙌🏾🙌🏾
